About

I'm Andrew Kicklighter, a software engineer based in the Twin Cities. At my current role as a full stack developer my tech stack is PHP and Laravel. However Kotlin and Spring Boot is the backend I default to if given the choice for my projects, paired with React and Vite on the frontend. For mobile app development I prefer Flutter for cross platform development in Android and iOS.

As for Polyloon, it is the home for all my hobby side projects, small games and ideas I build for fun. For example, I have a couple daily games, an oscilloscope puzzle app, and an idle farming sim that uses the real weather outside your window.

Every project here is developed by me end to end, from the database to the UI to the server it runs on. Outside of work I'm outside a lot, I'm usually training for my next marathon or out backpacking/camping and exploring the world. If I'm not outside, I'm hanging out at home with my wife and two cats (Orion and Apollo), and I'm either watching sports, sim racing, or flying on my flight simulator. A fun fact about me is I'm a dual citizen of the United States and Luxembourg which is why I'm always wearing a Luxembourg singlet when running races!
